Here East is hosting its second event in its Future Talks series, exploring AI: Friend or Foe?
Whilst AI is the latest buzzword in the industry, there are still many unanswered questions that need to be addressed. What are the most vulnerable jobs that could be replaced by AI? How can we prevent the dissemination of misinformation related to AI? What role will regulations play in AI? And what does a blueprint for success look like?
Taking place at Plexal in Here East on Tuesday 6th June from 5-7:30 pm, the event will bring together leaders from business, government, and academia, and together, we will be exploring the potential of AI and whether it is a force for good or a threat for both society and business in general.
The event will include a keynote presentation followed by a lively panel discussion.
Speakers will include:
-Charlie Muirhead, Co-Founder of AI Festival Cog X and serial entrepreneur, discussing the rising popularity of AI and what its rising popularity means for business, as well as humanity more broadly.
- Discussion moderated by tech entrepreneur Flavilla Fongang, Founder of 3 Colours Rule featuring Suhair Khan, a former Google entrepreneur on the board of the Design Museum and the Chair of Studio Wayne McGregor discussing how AI will change design and culture. As well as Emma Wright, Head of Technology, Data and Digital from law firm Harbottle and Lewis on the impact of regulation on AI. And Dr Varuna De Silva, Reader in Machine Intelligence, Loughborough University on the practical use cases of AI.
- Hosted by podcaster Jimmy McLoughlin OBE, the closing fireside chat will feature Michael Stein, the CTO of Framestore – the Oscar, Emmy and BAFTA-winning creative studio that has worked on “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” “Top Gun Maverick” and “His Dark Materials S1, 2 & 3,” exploring how AI is going to impact the film and creative industries.
Don’t miss out on this exceptional opportunity to gain insights into the fascinating world of AI.
