Join us for our annual Merrymaking Christmas market at Here East to kick start the festive season. Urban Makers will be bringing their collection of over 30 hand-picked makers from east London and beyond to Here East, so come along to this free event and get in the festive spirit while browsing our range of unique pop-up stalls.
Our Merrymaking Christmas market focuses on offering unique handmade items supporting existing and emerging designers and makers from London. You can browse the full list of designers on the Urban Makers website.
You'll also have the chance to get involved with free drop-in craft workshops, such as bauble decorating, all materials will be provided and you will leave the workshop with your own hand painted ceramic Christmas bauble and gift box, which you can take home to adorn your Christmas tree, or gift to a loved one. We'll also be offering terrarium making, and origami Christmas decorations where children and adults of all abilities will learn how to fold origami trees, reindeers and wreaths. Origami sessions run for 50 minutes, please find the schedule below:
5.00 – 5.50pm
6.00 – 6.50pm
7.00 – 7.50pm
Festive refreshments will be in abundance. Enjoy a glass of mulled wine or hot spiced cider alongside Raclette cheese on to crushed potatoes with a festive twist from Le Rac Shack.
