East London’s catalyst for growth and innovation
2020

The Here East Impact Report 2.0 captures a year of growth, collaboration and innovation as the campus continued to establish itself as a catalyst for east London’s future. Bringing together education, enterprise and emerging industries, Here East strengthened its role as a place where ideas are tested, partnerships are formed and new sectors can thrive. From community engagement and skills development to the rise of esports and mobility innovation, the report reflects how the campus has evolved into a dynamic ecosystem that supports both local opportunity and global ambition.
Through our Insights programme, community coffee mornings and school engagement workshops, we offer local people the opportunity to meet and network with like-minded peers and businesses, listen to inspirational industry professionals and make valuable connections. We want our community impact to be self-perpetuating. The students at the universities on our site engage daily with our tenants.

Creating tomorrow’s world through mobility innovation

By bringing together startups, global partners and research institutions, the campus has created a collaborative environment where new transport technologies and smart mobility solutions can be tested and developed. From attracting pioneering companies working at the forefront of electric and micro mobility to fostering cross sector partnerships, this work reflects a wider ambition to shape how people move, connect and live in more sustainable and connected cities.
We wanted to be a part of the Stratford innovation community, specifically Here East and Plexal, where the configuration of the Olympic Park makes it an ideal spot for our physical testbed.
