East London Universit­ies Collabora­tion Day

The event, held at Loughborough University London's campus on Here East will have representation from the following universities:

• Loughborough University London (Here East, Olympic Park)
• Birkbeck, University of London (Bloomsbury and Stratford)
• University of Cumbria, London (Poplar)
• Coventry London (Barking and Dagenham)
• Newcastle University London (Liverpool Street)
• UCL (Bloomsbury and Stratford Olympic Park)
• Queen Mary University (Tower Hamlets)
• University of East London (Stratford and Docklands)
• London College of Fashion, UAL (Stratford Olympic Park)
• Staffordshire University London, Digital Institute (Here East, Olympic Park)

This event is aimed Teachers, Teaching Assistants and other professionals working with children and young people. The event will include:

12pm-1pm: Light Lunch, Networking and stalls from all the above universities providing information about what support and activities they can offer you and the young people you work with.

1pm-1.15pm: Introduction to the East London Widening Participation Forum

1.15-2.30pm: Information and Advice and Guidance Workshop which provides information about supporting your students in choosing the right Higher Education institution for them, their applications to Higher Education and what resources are available to support people thinking of applying to university. Led by Loughborough University London, Birkbeck, University of London and Digital Institute London (Staffordshire University).

2:30-3pm: Panel and Q&A session with Widening Participation teams.
