East Summer School is back this summer for the biggest programme to date delivered by London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) and partners.
Since 2018 Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park partners have invited young people (12-17-year olds) in East London to sign up for a free unique, interactive and high-quality summer school. Supported by Here East, East Bank partners BBC, UAL’s London College of Fashion, University College London, V&A, Sadler’s Wells. The programme is also supported by Foundation for Future London, City of London, Culture Mile Learning, Mace, LMA, Staffordshire University, Bloom, and is being managed by London Legacy Development Corporation.
Here East is proud to partner on the East Summer School again this year. Keep an eye out for the Introduction the Entrepreneurship sessions on 26 & 27 July delivered by Here East, including Self Driving Cars mobility by Ford Mobility and City Mill Skate skateboarding.
The face-to-face sessions range from one-off one-day workshops to week-long courses covering subjects as diverse as partners such as arts and fashion, engineering medical solutions, skateboarding and break dancing, all soon to be based here in East London. You can find a full list of sessions and timetable here.
The summer school this year will be taking place in-person in and around Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Before signing up please see the timetable to check that you will be able to make the date and time of the course that you are interested in. Places will be offered with priority given to those who live in Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets or Waltham Forests. If successful you will be offered your place on your chosen summer school course no later than 14 July 2021.
