This July, join UCL Engineering on a journey of discovery and exploration at the Festival of Engineering.

With exhibitions, interactive demonstrations and spectacular showcases, the Festival is perfect for future engineers, families looking for a fun day out, or anyone who wants to feel inspired to look at the world differently.

Discover how engineers are tackling some of the world’s biggest challenges. Explore a special pilot project in the Here East Yard from 15-17 July by UCL and UK CLT.

The pilot brings our circular economy research to life: collecting, testing and processing secondary timber, using it to manufacture cross-laminated secondary timber (CLST) and glued-laminated secondary timber (glulamST) and assembling as a modular building. The project has been carried out in partnership with Portakabin, and with the support of a range of brilliant collaborators.

The pilot will be on display for the general public from 15-20 July. For more information on this installation and other activations during UCL's Festival of Engineering, please visit this webpage.
