Innovation on Historic Grounds: The Transformation of Here East and the Journey of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Join us at Here East during the Hackney History Festival as we take you on a journey through our transformation from the former International Press and Broadcast Centre of the London 2012 Olympics to today’s thriving tech and innovation campus. Explore the rich history of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, uncovering its evolution from industrial land to a global hub for creativity, education, technology, and entrepreneurship.

Through interactive exhibits, talks, and behind-the-scenes insights, we will showcase how Here East has played a pivotal role in shaping the legacy of the Olympic Park. In addition, Dave Hill will present his book “Olympic Park – When Britain Built Something Big,” which captured the history of London 2012 and the creation of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
