Join us for a free week of fun filled ‘Lunch & learn’ sessions at Here East. Starting the week off right with a 45-minute workshop on sleep and stress-busting practices. There is also an opportunity to learn tips for stress management, mindful communication at work and how to create a better work-life balance.

Sleep
When: Monday 11th March: 12:30 - 1:15pm & 1:15 - 2pm
Where: Timber meeting pod
Sleep is the foundation of all health and wellbeing and the key to reducing your blood pressure, heart rate, and improving your mood. In this 45-minute workshop, you'll discover the tips and techniques that will improve your quality of sleep and life. This session is led by mindfulness and Sleep Psychology Expert, Hope. She will share the neuroscience behind sleep, as well as techniques and practices for a better nights sleep.
The session will give you an insight into the workings of your sleep cycle, seep-inducing lifestyle tips and how to curate your dream menu as well as stress-busting practices to help you switch off and sleep. You will also learn how to optimise your ideal sleep ritual and decorate your bedroom for optimal sleep and a guided sleep meditation, which will be available for audio download following the workshop.
Stress Management
When: Tuesday 12th March: 12:30 - 1:15pm & 1:15 - 2pm

Stress and anxiety are two modern day conditions that have a huge impact on our happiness and performance in life and work. If left unchecked they can become our default and have huge knock on effects on our health and wellbeing, family and career. Learning to meet them head on with acceptance and even humour, however, means we can start to build a lifelong toolkit to keep them at bay. In this session, you will explore the effects and causes of stress and anxiety, and most importantly, what we can do to counter them.
Resilience
When: Wednesday 13th March: 12:30 - 1:15pm & 1:15 - 2pm
Where: Timber meeting pod
In this 45-minute session we tackle the topics of stress and resilience; learning not just how to manage stress, but how to minimize it, and how to broaden and build the inner resources to strengthen your resilience. Your teacher will share some theoretical reasoning, along with simple and practical meditations that you can conveniently practice throughout your working week to help reduce stress and strengthen resilience, helping you approach your daily tasks with greater clarity and a stronger sense of calm.
Work-life balance
When: Thursday 14th March: 12:30 - 1:15pm & 1:15 - 2pm
Where: Timber meeting pod
Using practical techniques, you will learn ways to attain balance and harmony between work and home life in this workshop. The tools gained will help you to address ways to switch off from work, compartmentalise tasks and be fully present with those around you. This 60-minute session will leave attendees feeling empowered to make the most of their time at work and at home, without having to blur the two.
Mindful Communication at work
When: Friday 15th March: 11:45 - 12:30 & 12:30 - 1:15pm
Where: Timber meeting pod
This workshop takes the mindfulness practice to a more advanced level with the aim to teaching how to communicate more clearly and effectively at work. Mindfulness techniques will be used to train employees to develop awareness of self and others people’s communication, enhance listening skills and be able to deliver a Mindful Communication during interactions. Whether it is used with co-workers, clients or to enhance meetings, Mindfulness communication in the workplace is an invaluable skill that benefits the company dynamics by improving clarity and team cooperation.
