Control Room Operator
Provide a safe and secure environment for all staff, tenants, visitors, students and contractors, following instructions from Control Room Supervisor and the designated Shift Manager. Be able to lead with a service excellence approach to all customers in line with the site Assignment Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
Duties:
- Service excellence to all customers.
- Monitor and operate CCTV systems, conducting CCTV patrols in compliance with GDPR best practices.
- Fire panel management, responding to activations, and assisting with fire evacuations.
- Maintain logs and documentation, including fire log books and digital reporting systems (E-DOB, Genetec, Datastation, EverBridge, SharePoint, Locale and more).
- Manage team deployment timetable, ensuring Officers are assigned to key areas and respond to incidents when required.
- Access control management, including updating systems, printing access passes etc.
- Complete accurate reports and incident documentation to a high standard.
- Emergency response.
- First Aid and First Responder duties.
- Fire Marshal and refuge assistance duties.
- Remaining flexible to last-minute requests and proactive.
- Perform Security Officer duties when required (please reference the Security Officer Job Description).
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
Essential
● Valid SIA CCTV Licence.
● Valid SIA Door Supervisor license.
● Valid First Aid Certificate.
● ACT Awareness certificate (completed within last 12 months).
● ACT Security certificate (completed within last 12 months).
● Be confident you can undertake 100% of all specific duties.
● Minimum of 1 year experience in a Control Room environment.
● Strong written and spoken English.
Desirable
● Strong incident report and writing skills.
● Knowledge (or previous experience) of Genetec systems.
● Valid Fire Marshal certificate.
● Valid Banksman certificate.
● Previous supervisory experience.
