Security Shift Manager

As a Security Shift Manager, your role will be to oversee the daily operations of the site including managing a team of Supervisors, Controllers and Officers, ensuring the safety of a whole host of people during the status quo and specialist events, and maintaining a professional customer focused mentality at all times.

Duties to include:

• Promote a culture of service excellence, ensuring every tenant, visitor, student and colleague is treated with respect and professionalism at all times.
• Ensuring day-to-day security operations are coordinated to a high-level.
• Team management and engagement, promoting team training and development.
• Provide fair and supportive leadership, addressing performance concerns and enforcing policies in line with the site Assignment Instructions and Standards Operating Procedures.
• Perform regular team performance reviews, welfare reviews, and HR compliance.
• Respond and strategically co-ordinate incident management, utilising the teams’ strengths, in line with the site Assignment Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain and update electronic systems such as Genetec, Data Station, TimeGate, Kinexio, Records for Buildings and incident reporting tools. Oversee the review and storage of CCTV and Body Worn Camera footage in compliance with DPA2018.
• Actively participate in departmental meetings, contribute to operational planning, and provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Support the Head of Security & Infrastructure, Security Account Manager and Assistant Account Manager on wider projects and strategic initiatives.

Applicants Essential Criteria:

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
• Valid SIA CCTV License.
• Valid First Aid Certificate.
• ACT Awareness / ACT Security certificates.
• Strong IT, organisation, prioritising and documentation skills (involving access control systems and Microsoft systems).
• Strong written and spoken English.

Applicants Desirable Criteria:

• Previous Supervisory or Managerial experience.
• Valid Fire Marshal certificate.
• Valid Banksman certificate.
• Previous control room experience.
