This week, The International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP) convened leaders from around the world for its 40th annual Global Conference.

Taking place in Luxembourg, this year's conference debated the leading role of innovation ecosystems in tackling the greatest challenges the world is facing today.

As a network with a truly global reach, IASP has provided Here East with the connections to expand our reach internationally, allowing us to build strong relationships in many regions. This year, we were pleased to sponsor the IASP, Inspiring Solutions Award, extending our support for innovative projects from science parks and innovation districts worldwide.

At the conference, Here East CEO, Gavin Poole, delivered a focus talk on the future of work and connectivity as we venture into a new era of digital innovation. Gavin explored how pioneering technology transforms the way we interact with physical spaces and inspires international collaboration.

The session also featured a showcase of our state-of-the-art Virtual Twin, a ground-breaking technology that will allow people to virtually visit the campus in real time. In partnership with digital design specialists Squint Opera, we are developing several use cases and exploring the limitless potential of this new space. The conversations and shared learning experiences at IASP help better inform our own work as we prepare to open our campus to an international audience virtually.

It was brilliant to collaborate with our counterparts from across the world throughout the insightful week of sessions. We look forward to applying our learnings from IASP Luxembourg to our own work in the heart of East London.

Until next year IASP!
