Following the commemoration of our ten year anniversary last July, It is clear that Here East is only possible because of the fantastic organisations that have chosen to make our campus their home.

Here East is a place where collaboration, creativity and the sharing of knowledge coincide. To demonstrate this community, our Impact Report spotlights the incredible work our tenants do to support the economic growth of East London, through generating job opportunities and powering local supply chains.

In addition to highlighting the people and projects that constitute the success of Here East as a hub for creativity and innovation, this year’s report also illustrates our year in impact, outlining landmark moments including:

  • Announcing our virtual twin: Into the Metaverse
  • Future Talks series: From Hackney Wick to Austin, Texas
  • Welcoming politicians to campus: Rishi Sunak, Sir Keir Starmer and Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt
  • Welcoming new tenants including Hawk London and Teesside University London

A highlight for me over the past year has been seeing the attraction Here East holds for influential leaders. The presence of senior politicians, including Tony Blair, Rishi Sunak, Jeremy Hunt and Sir Keir Starmer, demonstrates that elected officials recognise the important role Here East plays in economic regeneration. Engaging with these leaders and their teams has illuminated a shared vision and a realisation that what we are doing on a micro level is precisely what they aspire to achieve on a macro scale, across the entire nation.
