Mike Magan appointed COO of Here East

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mike Magan as the new Chief Operating Officer of Here East.

Mike will have overall responsibility for the daily operations of our 1.2m sq ft campus and community of 3,500 entrepreneurs, academics and creatives.

Joining Here East from Momo Group, Mike has previously worked in a number of high profile roles in both the public and private sector. While in the public sector he served as a senior White House official and Special Assistant to the President under George W Bush.

Mike has over a 25-year track record of successfully driving organisations to achieve challenging goals, helping different companies bridge business cultures and political environments. He brings a wealth of experience to his new role at our campus located on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Mike’s appointment comes as former COO, Andrew Roughan left the role last month in order to take the position of Managing Director at Plexal, our Innovation Centre.

Here East is home to a diverse community of tenants, spanning start-ups, global corporates, creative businesses and academic institutions such as Loughborough University London and UCL. Fast-growth businesses including MATCHESFASHION.com and Sega’s Sports Interactive and global companies such as BT Sport and Ford’s Smart Mobility team.

Mike has a great wealth of experience working in the business, tech and startup community on an international level, as well as bringing unique public sector experience to the job. He joins the team as we look to accelerate the growth of our community and we are delighted that he agreed to come on our journey with us.
