A Here East win at the RICS Social Impact Awards grand final
Here East is delighted to have won best in the Commercial category at the Grand Final of the RICS Social Impact National Awards 2020.
RICS Social Impact Awards recognises the built environment’s positive and transformational contribution to society, showcasing the best examples on a national level following the regional finals this summer, which Here East won in the London category. The projects are judged on their human, social and environmental impact, as well as the collaboration and innovation involved.
Here East was praised by the judges for its social and environmental impact, as well as the collaboration and innovation themes which are firmly rooted within the campus’ core vision. Here East was recognised for its benefits to the local community, fulfilling an economic and social need in the area through its mentorships, community and educational programmes.

The project in a deprived part of London embraces its local community by investing heavily in social, economic and physical regeneration of the local area. A sustainable approach to environmental matters enhances this project with many features providing a benefit to the local community.
