This year, we are celebrating impact by looking at how we 'Create at Scale'. Our brand new Impact Film brings this to life through voices from across the Here East community – revealing what scale means to them and why this campus is the place they chose to build their ideas.

Here East is a campus where space and scale shape the creative process. Volume becomes a resource, freedom becomes a tool, and the campus becomes a platform for innovation. Across technology, design, performance and entrepreneurship, teams use this environment to explore, experiment and create work that could not happen elsewhere. With universities, startups, and cultural institutions side by side, the campus thrives on collaboration, mixed with the energy of East London.

Our Impact Film captures this by showcasing moments from the past year, from sparks of creativity to ambitious projects that needed room to grow. The result is not a report but a portrait of a community in motion, where people, ideas and possibilities continue to rise together – all narrated by the brilliant voice actor, Fabian Lenort, who is a student at LMA on our campus.

“What if your workspace wasn’t just a place, but a platform for whatever you imagine? A launchpad for invention, a stage for collaboration, or a lab for experimentation,” says Fabian in the film’s opening line, underscoring our vision.

To celebrate the film’s launch, we sat down with Fabian to hear more about their career ambitions, how they got involved with the film, and what it means to be part of the Here East community.

Could you tell us a bit about what you’re studying at LMA on the Here East campus, and what you hope to pursue after you graduate?

Fabian: “I am currently studying Digital Games Art and I’d like to pursue the role of a Visual Development and Concept Artist for an AA Games Company. Otherwise, I would love to travel the world and get commissioned to make art.”

How did you first get involved with the opportunity to audition for the Here East impact film voiceover, and what motivated you to go for it?

Fabian: “I simply signed up, found the courage in me, and gave it a shot – while still having that doubt. I saw an interview of David Corenswet talking about auditioning for ‘Superman’ and not thinking he was going to get it, yet he acted like he was – so I also had to use that mindset and it luckily worked out!”

In your own words, what does the Here East community mean to you, and how did you try to express that feeling through your voiceover performance?

Fabian: “The Here East community means a creative space for free thinkers to explore avenues that many don’t. It’s a beautiful mix of interactive and stunning concepts coming to life from within people, and I think that’s what makes it different and special. The idea that we all can connect through our individual experiences and offer them as a conduit for personal and innovative growth.”

In what ways has being based at Here East influenced your learning experience?

Fabian: “I feel as though my learning experience was influenced by the diversity of the people at Here East. The campus offered me a chance to connect with people I otherwise wouldn’t have met. This enabled me to think more creatively as I’ve met a plethora of extremely talented individuals who interest me greatly and who I’m proud to call my friends.”

Thank you, Fabian, for sharing your story with us. We were proud to work with you on our Impact Film 2025, and we can’t wait to see where your career journey takes you next!
